A video reported by Scroll.in shows staff at Hawaii Kai Veterinary Clinic in the United States dancing near a nervous dog while medical tests were being carried out. The clip is attributed to the clinic’s Instagram account, @hawaiikaivetclinic.
What the video shows
Scroll.in published the item on October 11, 2023, under the headline “Watch: Staff at veterinary hospital dance to distract nervous dog during medical tests.” Its caption identifies the location as Hawaii Kai Veterinary Clinic in the US and embeds an Instagram post attributed to Hawaii Kai Veterinary Clinic’s @hawaiikaivetclinic account.
In the reported scenes, clinic staff dance beside the dog as it undergoes testing. The apparent aim is to redirect the dog’s attention during an unsettling procedure, but the report does not establish exactly what staff said to the animal or how the dog responded beyond what can be seen in the clip.

What this single clip can—and cannot—show
The video documents one encounter at one veterinary clinic. It does not demonstrate that dancing is a generally effective or clinically validated treatment for anxiety in dogs. A dog’s stress can have many causes, and appropriate handling depends on the animal, the procedure and the veterinary team’s assessment.
