Still, check that the collar sits appropriately on your cat; a tracker’s label does not replace an individual fit check.
Fi Mini: verify cat use before buying
Fi says its Mini can attach to a collar or harness, but the retrieved official product page markets it for small dogs. The available product information does not confirm cat-specific sizing, whether Fi recommends a breakaway collar, or how using it on a cat affects warranty coverage. In an Associated Press report, Tractive executive vice president for North America Andrew Bleiman described strong connectivity across much of Europe and North America, with remote places such as the middle of a national park as an exception. What will the tracker cost over time?
Both trackers require ongoing service, so an upfront device price alone is not a useful comparison. Fi says a GPS/LTE Plan is required. Tractive requires an active subscription and presents different billing durations and rates; its displayed pricing varies by location, and subscription cost is separate from the tracker price.

Are their location and health features equivalent?
Both brands describe location tools such as live tracking and location history, plus boundary or escape alerts. Fi lists GPS/LTE-M live location, history, and geofence alerts; Tractive describes live GPS, virtual fences, and location history. Which specific functions are available can depend on the service plan, so compare the feature list for the tier you would actually buy.
