Overview

SchedulingKit is appointment-booking software for individuals, teams, and businesses. It combines public booking pages with calendar synchronization, reminders, payments, and team scheduling. Mobile apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android sync bookings, contacts, and event types with the web app.

The company behind the service, ZTABS, was founded in 2022 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. SchedulingKit says more than 5,000 teams in over 40 countries use its platform. Its intended audience spans many kinds of businesses, including solo professionals, therapists, personal trainers, salons, and law firms; veterinary practices may also consider it for appointment logistics, though it is not presented as veterinary-specific software.

Alongside standard scheduling tools, the platform offers AI options such as a receptionist, voice agent, chatbot, AI agents, CRM, and scheduling. The breadth of features may suit organizations that want bookings and related workflows in one service, while smaller users should weigh the free plan's booking and calendar limits.

Key features

Booking and calendars: Create booking pages and synchronize calendars in both directions. Calendar support includes Google, Outlook, iCloud, Apple, and Exchange. Group bookings and automated reminders are also available.
Team appointments: Round-robin assignment, collective availability, and multi-staff scheduling help coordinate appointments across a team. Paid plans support unlimited workspaces or businesses managed from one login.
Payments and follow-up: SchedulingKit supports online payments, deposits, invoices, and automated follow-ups. Payment options include Stripe and PayPal, with Apple Pay and Google Pay also listed on the homepage.
Video and integrations: The platform can generate meeting links for Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Webex. It connects with Slack and offers native integrations, as well as access to more than 1,000 apps through Zapier.
Development tools: A REST API, real-time webhooks, and an embeddable JavaScript booking widget provide ways to connect scheduling to other systems.
Security and privacy: SchedulingKit says it encrypts data at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS 1.3. It lists role-based access, multi-factor authentication, and audit logging among its security controls. The company also describes GDPR features including consent management, data portability, erasure tools, and a Data Processing Agreement.
Accessibility: The maker says public booking pages meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, including keyboard navigation, screen-reader support, and high-contrast modes.
Support: Support is available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM EST, with a first response within 24 hours on business days. Business includes priority support, while Enterprise includes dedicated support.

Pricing

SchedulingKit uses a freemium model, with a free plan and a 14-day trial. After the trial, an account moves to Free unless the user subscribes. The pricing page says customers can cancel, upgrade, or downgrade at any time.

Plan	Price	Listed allowances
Free	Free forever	1 team member, 1 event type, 50 bookings per month, 1 calendar connection, and 1 workspace
Standard	$10/seat/month billed annually; $12/seat/month billed monthly	Unlimited event types and bookings, 6 calendar connections, 100 SMS credits per month, and unlimited workspaces or businesses
Pro	$16/seat/month billed annually; $20/seat/month billed monthly	Unlimited calendar connections and 250 SMS credits per month
Business	$30/seat/month billed annually; $36/seat/month billed monthly	500 SMS credits per month and priority support
Enterprise	Custom pricing	Unlimited SMS credits, dedicated support, custom integrations, SLA guarantees, and volume discounts

Paid plans charge for each active team member across all workspaces. That per-seat approach is worth factoring in for organizations with multiple staff or businesses.

Platforms

SchedulingKit is available on the web, iOS, and Android, and provides an API for custom integrations. Its mobile apps sync key scheduling information with the web app. Calendar synchronization is bi-directional with Google Calendar, Outlook, and Apple Calendar.

Who it's for

The service may fit solo professionals and businesses that need online booking, shared staff availability, payment collection, or connections to other business tools. Veterinary clinics, groomers, and shelters could use general-purpose scheduling for appointments, but should confirm that its workflows meet their specific operational needs.

One important limitation for animal-care providers handling protected health information is that SchedulingKit says it is not HIPAA-compliant and does not provide a Business Associate Agreement. Practices that require either should look for a suitable alternative, such as veterinary software.

Pros and cons

Pros

Free plan with a defined allowance for one member and 50 monthly bookings.
Team scheduling, payment collection, reminders, and two-way calendar synchronization are available.
Multiple workspaces, API access, webhooks, and broad Zapier connectivity support more involved setups.
Public booking pages are stated to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Cons

The free plan is limited to one member, one event type, 50 monthly bookings, and one calendar connection.
Paid plans charge per active team member, so the total can rise as a team grows.
It is not HIPAA-compliant and does not provide a Business Associate Agreement.

Alternatives

For clinics seeking software specifically listed for veterinary use, compare EasyWeek for Veterinary Clinics, NaVetor, DaySmart Vet, ezyVet, Digitail, VetiCloud, Hunimalis, and PetChart.

Verdict

SchedulingKit brings booking, calendars, team coordination, payments, reminders, and integrations together, with a free entry point and paid plans priced per active seat. It is a broad scheduling option for service businesses, including animal-care providers whose needs are primarily appointment management. Veterinary practices should carefully assess workflow fit and the stated lack of HIPAA compliance and a Business Associate Agreement before choosing it.
