Petsense by Tractor Supply scheduled its 2026 Fall Adoptathon for October 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. local time at participating stores nationwide, with a goal of 1,200 pet adoptions. The event date has passed, but the available company announcement does not report how many pets were ultimately adopted.
What was the Petsense Fall Adoptathon?
Petsense by Tractor Supply planned the one-day event with local shelters and rescue organizations, which were to bring adoptable dogs, cats and small animals to participating stores. The company’s September 30, 2026 announcement described 1,200 adoptions as the event’s target—not a confirmed result. Read the announcement.
Shawn Blankenship, Vice President of Petsense by Tractor Supply, said, “Every Adoptathon is a reminder of what’s possible when a community shows up for shelter animals,” according to the announcement.
What should attendees bring, and who sets adoption rules?
Petsense advised attendees to bring valid photo identification. Each participating shelter or rescue sets its own adoption requirements and fees, so those details can differ by organization. The announcement directs visitors to Petsense.com to find a store; contact the local store or rescue partner for current adoption details.
