The reason, dates, animals affected and any changes to visits, adoptions, intake or foster placements have not been established. Contact ACHS directly before making plans.
What is known about the reported quarantine?
ACHS’s official adoption, foster and contact pages do not verify a one-week cat-facility quarantine. They also do not state why one might have been imposed or whether any shelter services changed. No cause or outbreak should be inferred from the unconfirmed report.
ACHS describes its mission as providing a safe environment for homeless, abandoned and neglected animals in the Adair County area, and says it has a working relationship with the University of Missouri Shelter Medicine Program. Those general facts do not establish anything about the reported event. ACHS’s about page
How to check whether services are affected
Call ACHS and ask whether a quarantine was announced, its effective dates, and what prompted it. Confirm separately whether cat visits, adoptions, intake or foster placements are affected, and where to direct urgent animal-care questions. Treat operational details as confirmed only when ACHS provides them.
