The clearest specifically documented public image moment involving Simone Biles’s French Bulldogs, Lilo and Rambo, took place at the Tokyo 2020 women’s balance beam final on August 3, 2021. Access Hollywood reports that commentator Scott Evans held up cardboard cutouts of the dogs to support Biles, who reacted from the arena. For photos of the dogs themselves, the research points readers to their dedicated account, @thebilesfrenchies.
This is a guide to documented examples, not a ranking or complete archive. The distinction matters: the Tokyo moment showed cutouts depicting the dogs, not Lilo and Rambo physically at the event.

How to verify and use a photo
- Identify the original source. Check whether the image comes from Biles, the dogs’ account, an event publisher, or a brand partner.
- Confirm what the image actually shows. Distinguish Lilo or Rambo from a cutout, and do not infer a date, location, or occasion from a repost.
- Check the context and credit. Use a named publisher’s event details where available, and verify any original post or photographer attribution before using it.
- Confirm republication rights. A publicly viewable social post is not automatically free to reproduce. Obtain permission, use an authorized embed where appropriate, or license an approved image.
- Keep captions within the evidence. Do not call a photo an official portrait or claim a complete “best of” collection unless an authoritative source supports that description.
