Little BigPaw sells wet and dry cat food, with recipes for kittens, adult cats and seniors. The available information supports a practical comparison of its range and selected recipes, but not a hands-on verdict or a proven health advantage. Check the exact recipe’s current label for life-stage suitability, completeness, ingredients and feeding directions before choosing it.
What does Little BigPaw sell?
Little BigPaw describes its British-made range as complete foods and treats, and sells wet and dry food for cats as well as dogs. Its catalogue includes recipes marketed for different life stages. Names and formulas can change, so use the current product page or packaging as the final reference for a specific food.
A years-old Cats.com review lists wet mousse flavours including Atlantic Salmon, Tender Duck, Atlantic Tuna, Ocean Fish and Tender Chicken, alongside dry kitten, adult and senior recipes. Those names are a snapshot of the recipes covered in that review, not a guarantee of current availability.
How to assess the recipes
Check the life-stage and complete-food wording
Do not assume that a claim applying to one recipe applies to the whole range. For example, Little BigPaw’s Atlantic Salmon Complete dry food for Senior Cats is described by the company as a complete food for cats aged 7 and over and for overweight cats. Its feeding guidance and nutrition details belong to that product; they should not be generalized to other recipes.

For any food, look on the current pack for the intended life stage and whether it is labelled complete or complementary. Then follow that recipe’s feeding directions, adjusting for your cat’s weight and circumstances with veterinary advice where needed.
Read ingredient figures in context
Cats.com’s review of British Chicken Complete dry food for Kittens reports 402 kcal per 100 g and lists chicken meal (40%), freshly prepared chicken (17%), sweet potato (14.5%) and chicken fat (10%) among its ingredients. These are figures reproduced by that review, not confirmation of the current formulation. Check the product label you are buying, especially if ingredient proportions or calorie density matter to your decision.

Cats.com also summarizes Little BigPaw’s ingredient and exclusion claims, including its hypoallergenic positioning. Treat those as manufacturer claims: a limited-ingredient or single-source recipe does not establish that a food will suit every cat with a suspected allergy. A veterinarian can help identify an appropriate diet if an allergy or intolerance is a concern.
What the meat-content comparison does—and does not—show
Little BigPaw says its recipes contain “up to” 70% real meat and contrasts that with 4% in some supermarket products. These are company marketing figures, not independently established statistics for the range or for supermarket foods as a category. “Up to” also means the figure should not be read as applying to every recipe. Compare the declared ingredients on the specific products rather than relying on the headline comparison.

What reviews and endorsements can tell you
Cats.com has reviewed selected Little BigPaw recipes, but its review was published years ago. Its ingredient, calorie, price and rating details may not match current packaging or listings, so use them as historical observations rather than a substitute for current product information. Cats.com says its reviewer did not find a recall online; that limited search is not a complete recall history or proof that no recall has occurred.
Little BigPaw’s About Us page hosts customer testimonials about palatability and sensitive stomachs. They are individual customer accounts, not controlled evidence or a promise that another cat will respond the same way.
