The difference in protein or fat figures alone does not show which food is healthier for a particular cat. The published pages do not provide a head-to-head feeding study or a cat-specific clinical assessment. Choose against the intended-use label and your cat’s needs, and consult a veterinarian when you need help selecting a diet.
How much should you feed?
Carnilove provides daily feeding tables by cat weight and says the amount needed also depends on age, size, performance and environment. Use the current directions for the specific formula rather than transferring a portion from one recipe to another. A feeding table is a starting guide; an individual cat’s needs can differ.

The company says the food may be served dry or moistened with lukewarm water and directs owners to keep fresh water available. Follow the package directions for the formula you buy.
How should you transition your cat?
Carnilove UK recommends changing food gradually over 7–10 days, beginning with 25% new food and 75% current food, then increasing the new food over the transition. This is the manufacturer’s general guidance, not a veterinary prescription. Carnilove UK’s FAQ provides its transition advice.
