What happens in the reported clip?
DogTime’s October 6, 2026, story describes Riley as a black-and-white Border Collie who watches Nina, then walks over carrying a gray plush toy and moves it in front of her. The story reports on-screen text reading, “Can you see it now?” and repeats the caption joke, “Not Nina slapping me with her toy to make a point.” Those details come from DogTime’s account; the original Instagram post was not located for independent confirmation. Who are Riley and Nina?
DogTime attributes the clip to the Instagram account @nina.begs and identifies Nina Bean and Riley Rose in connection with the account. It describes Riley as a black-and-white Border Collie. Because the underlying post was not found, these account and identity details are attributable to DogTime rather than independently verified here.
Is Riley trying to get Nina’s attention?
That is DogTime’s playful reading of the scene, not a confirmed explanation of Riley’s intent. A short clip can show a dog carrying and moving a toy, but it cannot establish why the dog does so. Neither the DogTime story nor the AOL republication quotes a veterinarian, trainer, or other expert interpreting Riley’s behavior, so the moment should not be treated as evidence of a general Border Collie trait.
