Voyager
Veterinary software
What Voyager is
Voyager is a veterinary practice management system from MWI Animal Health. It is an on-premise desktop application for Windows, and its multi-practice capabilities allow participating practices to synchronise patient data, treatment history, diagnostics, and follow-up care. Voyager followed two versions of MWI’s earlier Jup Vet product and its Enterprise product, as part of a practice software history that MWI says began in 1994.
An optional VetXML module supports digital insurance claims and lets practices track a claim’s status after submission. It also supports exchanging information for microchip registrations and laboratory requests and results. VetXML is not installed by default and must be set up by Vet Space. Voyager users can log in to access support tickets, queries, requests, and remote IT support.
MWI describes its practice technology as serving veterinary practices and its enterprise products as supporting companion animal, farm, and equine practices. The company’s later Merlin practice management system is cloud hosted on Microsoft Azure and accessed through a standard web browser; this is a separate product from Voyager. MWI Animal Health is based in Castle Cary, Somerset, and is part of the Cencora global network. Voyager is paid, with pricing available on request.
