Thomas, a Siberian cat featured by Parade Pets, has a knack for turning a bid for his mother’s attention into what the story calls a prank. The “evil genius” part is playful framing—not a scientific description of Thomas or proof that Siberians share a special talent for plotting.
Who is Thomas, and what is the prank?
Parade Pets identifies Thomas as a Siberian cat associated with the TikTok account @thomas_siberian. Its Oct. 3, 2026, story describes a brief TikTok video and says Thomas uses different locations and approaches to get his mother’s attention, casting their interaction as a gotcha game.
The account does not lay out a precise action sequence, so it would be a stretch to claim exactly what Thomas does in every instance. Nor does the article independently verify how often the behavior happens. What it offers is a humorous account of a cat apparently finding an entertaining way to draw his person into an interaction.
Are Siberian cats curious and playful?
The Cat Fanciers’ Association (CFA) describes Siberians as curious cats interested in exploring their surroundings. Its breed profile says: “Extremely intelligent—as befits a natural hunter—the Siberian takes a keen interest in its surroundings and loves to investigate cabinets, cupboards, and suitcases.” CFA breed material also describes Siberians as playful, interested in toys, and capable of enjoying play such as fetch throughout life.

Why call him an “evil genius”?
“Pranks” and “evil genius” make the story’s playful interpretation clear: Thomas is presented as a cat who seems to set up a funny moment with his mother. They are entertaining labels, not evidence of deliberate scheming, a formal measure of intelligence, or a behavior typical of all Siberians.

Parade Pets suggests daily dedicated playtime and puzzles for energetic cats like Thomas. An interactive cat puzzle toy is one optional way to offer a cat a problem to work through; it is not shown in the story as something Thomas uses or as a fix for his behavior. Follow the toy maker’s guidance, supervise if needed, and let the cat’s interest guide whether it is a good fit.
