There is no universally airline-approved pet carrier: each airline decides whether pets may travel in the cabin and what carrier it accepts. Before buying, check the operating airline’s current rules and the aircraft on every flight segment; the carrier must fit under the seat without blocking the aisle and remain stowed during taxi, takeoff, and landing.

What “airline-approved” means
“Airline-approved” on a product page does not mean a carrier has universal FAA certification. How to choose a cabin carrier

Consider these factors alongside fit:
- Whether the carrier’s structure can compress without collapsing onto the pet.
- Ventilation and secure closures.

Do not assume that flexible construction, a manufacturer’s weight recommendation, or a brand boarding program guarantees acceptance. Do not choose a smaller carrier or compress one if that makes your pet uncomfortable.
