A June 4, 2004 AnandTech Forums post tells a comic, first-person story about a goose pecking the poster in the crotch after the group fed biscuits to birds despite seeing a sign not to. The thread includes links labeled “Before” and “After,” but a reply questions whether those labels are correct, so they do not establish what happened or when.
What the 2004 post says happened
Under the title “Goose Bites Friend in the Crotch (now with Pictures),” forum user AccruedExpenditure described a Memorial Day weekend trip to Lake Elizabeth. The poster introduced it as a story about a friend, then narrated the incident in the first person.
The account says the group fed biscuits to geese, even though they had seen a sign telling visitors not to feed birds. The poster later wrote, “The goose…that blasted goose… Pecked me in my CROTCH.” Those are the poster’s claims in the forum thread, not independently verified details or a medical report.
What the pictures can—and cannot—confirm
The post links images labeled “Before” and “After.” A reply questions whether the pictures may have been mislabeled. The labels are part of the thread, but on their own they do not verify a sequence, identify the person pictured, or prove an injury.

Where the friend lived, according to the thread
After a reply guessed Fremont, AccruedExpenditure clarified that the friend lived “Near, Union City.” That is a location detail supplied within the forum conversation, not an independently confirmed identification of anyone in the pictures.
Why the story is best read as a forum curiosity
The thread is a user-posted anecdote rather than an expert account or an official finding. It offers no basis for judging how common goose pecks are or what medical consequences followed. Its enduring hook is the poster’s dramatic punchline and the “Before” and “After” labels—with the uncertainty around those labels kept in view.
