How do you transition a cat to My Perfect Pet?

How should you thaw and store it?
The manufacturer says to thaw food in the refrigerator or, for faster thawing, place the sealed bar in warm water. It advises against microwaving and says to use thawed food within three days. Plan portions around that window and follow any more specific directions on the current package.
