A Golden Retriever in a raincoat with a red hood turns an ordinary rainy walk into a cheerful moment in a video credited to Instagram account @why_not_foodie. The dog wags his tail, glances briefly toward the person filming, then carries on down the road.
What happens in the video
DogTime’s October 5, 2026 story describes the Golden Retriever walking across a road in a coat with a red hood attached. He looks toward the camera for a moment, tail wagging, before continuing his outing. It is a small, everyday scene—not a rescue or a dramatic event.
DogTime credits the clip to Instagram account @why_not_foodie. The available account of the story does not independently verify the original post.
Why the little outing made people smile
The creator’s caption, reproduced by DogTime, reads: “The amount of good things in your life depends on your ability to notice them.” The video’s appeal rests on that simple idea: a brief glimpse of a happy dog on a wet walk can make an otherwise ordinary moment feel brighter. It is a lighthearted sentiment, not evidence of a measurable mental-health effect.
