What happens in Roo and Moo’s sofa video?
DogTime’s October 5, 2026 report describes Roo leaning against Moo on a sofa, with the dogs engaging in affectionate face-sniffing and gentle mouthing. DogTime credits the clip to Instagram account @acrewofrescues; the account’s original post was not independently reviewed here, so those scene details are attributed to the report.
As DogTime recounts it, the on-screen caption jokes, “So anyway here are those Pitties we have for protection.” The contrast between the claim and the cuddling is the joke. The clip shows the dogs’ apparent behavior in that reported moment; it does not show whether they have guard training or how they would respond to a threat.
What can—and can’t—a cuddle clip tell you?
It can offer a glimpse of these two dogs appearing relaxed and affectionate with each other in one setting. It cannot establish a stable temperament profile, predict behavior in a different situation, or tell viewers whether either dog is suitable for protection work.

The ASPCA says, “All dogs, including pit bulls, are individuals,” and advises judging dogs by their actions rather than their DNA or appearance. The organization describes substantial behavioral variation among pit bull-type dogs and notes that genetics interact with environment and experience. A breed-type label is not an individual assessment.
The ASPCA also distinguishes possible dog-directed aggression tendencies in some pit bulls from aggression toward people. Neither a breed label nor a sweet video settles questions about a particular dog’s behavior; context, history and observed actions matter.

How to read dog behavior safely
Look at the whole situation and the dog’s body language rather than relying on one cue. The ASPCA’s dog-bite prevention guidance cautions that a wagging tail does not always mean a dog is friendly. Give dogs space when they appear uncomfortable, and supervise children whenever they are with dogs.
- Consider what is happening around the dog, including the setting and possible triggers.
- Pay attention to the dog’s behavior as a whole, not a single signal or its appearance.
- If a dog shows aggression, prioritize safety and seek help from a qualified behavior professional.
What the video does not show about training
The reported clip does not establish Roo’s or Moo’s training history. For readers considering training, the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior says: “Based on current scientific evidence, AVSAB recommends that only reward-based training methods are used for all dog training, including the treatment of behavior problems.” AVSAB’s public position-statement page says its 2021 humane-training statement remains its current authoritative training position, with a 2025 clarification.
