Karan Madan, founder and CEO of Animal & Plant Sciences, Rooted Owl’s parent company, called the appointment “a defining moment” for the company. Pet Food Processing also quotes Madan describing an “evidence-first standard” and a commitment to scientific rigor, ingredient quality and formulation innovation. Those statements express the company leader’s position; they are not independent assessments of its products or practices.
What products and upcoming launch did the report describe?
Pet Food Processing describes Rooted Owl as a pet supplement company offering nine targeted capsule supplements and five hemp-derived products. The counts are those reported in the October 5, 2026 article, not measures of clinical evidence or product performance.
The report also said a 12-SKU feline-specific line was in final formulation and expected to launch in the coming months. That was a plan stated as of October 5, 2026, not confirmation that the line later launched or is currently available.

The appointment signals that Rooted Owl says it intends to involve a veterinary advisor in product development, study design and professional outreach. The announcement does not provide clinical results, product-specific efficacy evidence, dosing guidance or independent evaluations of ingredients. It also names no retail or clinical partners. A personnel announcement alone is not enough to compare supplements or recommend one for a pet’s health needs.
