A June 3, 2024 report by Laughing Squid identifies Reto of Furry Luck Bali as Bobby’s rescuer and relays his description of the dog’s early fear and later temperament. Laughing Squid quotes Reto as saying: “He was at the first moment very scared when you want to touch him, he’d try to bite. He didn’t trust us really. So the trust came with time. After 3 weeks he started to gain trust, and this was the moment where his mind completely changed. … he’s a very friendly and playful dog. He loves to play with other dogs. He loves to cuddle. He’s like a big teddy bear. He’s always happy when you call his name.” The quotation is attributed to Reto through that secondary report.
His coat returned over time

Who helped care for Bobby?
Laughing Squid connects the rescue to Reto and Furry Luck Bali. Its report also says The Dodo sent Bobby a spa package with grooming supplies and toys, and reproduces a statement from producer Chelsi Thomas: “When our producer Chelsi saw Bobby’s transformation, she knew she wanted to spoil him with him with a spa day!”
The package is a small part of the story, not evidence that grooming supplies caused Bobby’s coat to return. For a dog with unexplained hair loss or skin concerns, ordinary grooming accessories are not a substitute for veterinary evaluation.
