It may suit a household looking for scheduled cleaning and app monitoring; whether it works well for your cat depends on the box’s fit, your litter, and how your cat adapts to automation.
What the WeeKett Smart Cat Litter Box does
WeeKett lists manual cleaning, automatic cleaning, scheduled cleaning, one-button emptying, a child lock, sleep mode, and app alerts. The independent Cats.com review describes a rotating drum that sifts waste into a rear compartment and notes that a litter mat is included.
The manufacturer says the box connects to Smart Life or Tuya Smart on iOS and Android. App access and notifications make it possible to monitor the unit remotely, but they also mean setup depends on using one of those apps.
Will it fit your space, cat and litter?
WeeKett’s published dimensions are 513.4 mm wide × 581.9 mm deep × 530 mm high. Measure the space where the box will sit, including room for your cat to enter and turn, and allow for access to the waste compartment when emptying it.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independently measured capacities. WeeKett says most litter types work if particles are no larger than 8 mm; check the particle size of the litter you already use rather than assuming every variety is compatible. The published capacity figures alone do not establish how often the bin will need emptying in a particular home, especially where more than one cat uses the box.
How well does it clean, and what about odour?
Cats.com scored ease of cleaning 5/5 and odour control 3.5/5 in its May 19, 2026 review. Those are one publication’s assessments, not a consensus or a guarantee of results. WeeKett promotes a sealed waste area and an odour eliminator, but odour management remains something to evaluate in your home.

The Cats.com review also displayed mixed individual user reports. Some described easy app setup, relatively quiet operation, or cats using the box readily. One negative account alleged that the tray sent too much clean litter into an already-full compartment, causing a mess without resolving odour. These are anecdotes, not evidence of how common any outcome is.

What the sensors and health tracking can—and cannot—tell you
WeeKett says weight and infrared sensors detect a cat and pause cleaning. That is a manufacturer safety claim; the available sources do not establish independent safety testing or prove that risk is eliminated. Supervise your cat’s first use and do not treat the sensors as a substitute for checking that the unit is operating as intended.
The manufacturer also says its app tracks weight, activity, and toilet-use data. Treat this as monitoring information, not a diagnosis: the reviewed sources do not validate its accuracy or medical usefulness. Changes in a cat’s weight, activity, or toileting habits are best discussed with a veterinarian.

Will your cat use an automated litter box?
A cat may need time to become comfortable with a new box and its movement or sounds. WeeKett advises starting with manual cleaning while supervising, or setting the unit to clean once per day, then switching to automatic cleaning after the cat is confident using it. The company’s guidance says, “Before enabling automatic cleaning, it’s important to help your cat get comfortable with the litter box.” It does not give a fixed adjustment period, and individual cats may respond differently.
