The product pages describe a removable brush roll, LED headlights, a low-profile foot, and an Easy Empty dirt bin. BISSELL says the battery can be charged either in the vacuum or after removal. Its FAQ says the brush roll can be removed to clean hair and points to the low-profile foot and low-reach handle for reaching under furniture. Those design features may help with routine floor cleaning, but they do not establish how the vacuum performs in a particular home.
Which model should you check?
Model 1984
BISSELL marks model 1984 as no longer available on its US site. The page lists similar model numbers 19844, 1984B, and 1984C. That status does not prove the model is unavailable from every retailer; current stock was not established in the cited information.

The 2144 product page lists similar model 21448 and a 2-year limited warranty. Similar-model naming alone does not establish that every accessory, replacement part, or warranty term is interchangeable.

BISSELL support groups 1984, 2144, and 2524 as similar models for support purposes. This does not confirm that their parts are interchangeable. Before ordering a battery, filter, charger, or assembly, match the part to the vacuum’s full model number and check the current parts listing.

Is the AirRam a good fit for your home?

BISSELL lists foam filter 1611215 as compatible with models 1984, 2144, and 19841. Its filter listing says the inner shroud is sold separately, so confirm whether that component is needed before ordering.

- Remove the dirt bin and filter, then tap loose debris out of the filter.
- If needed, wash the foam filter with warm water only. BISSELL says not to use soap or detergent.
- Allow the filter to dry completely before reinstalling it.
- Clean at least monthly, or more often depending on how frequently the vacuum is used and the environment.
Troubleshooting a vacuum that will not power on
BISSELL’s support guidance applies to models 1984, 2144, and 2524. These checks are manufacturer troubleshooting steps, not a diagnosis of a particular vacuum.
- Test the wall outlet with another device, and confirm the charger is connected to a working outlet.
- Check that the charger label reads K12S270050U.
- Remove and reseat the battery, pressing it in until it clicks and sits flush.
- Charge the battery through the working outlet, then check for power or battery lights.
