What to give your cat instead
Choose a treat suited to cats
Offer a cat treat that fits your pet’s health and diet, or set aside a small portion of the cat’s regular food to use as a treat. Cats on prescription diets, or those with diagnosed conditions or food sensitivities, may need individual guidance before any new treat is introduced. For enrichment, VCA suggests putting moist food or treats on a lick mat or in a hollow toy. These are serving and enrichment options; using a lick mat does not make dairy ice cream safe.
