The WCF Cat Show opens at Family Mall in Zagreb on Saturday, October 10, and runs through Sunday, October 11. The “big secret” is the Mystery Cat. Each day at 3 p.m., organizers reveal a rare breed after giving visitors clues about its identity, according to Croatia Week’s October 5, 2026 preview.
When and where
| Day | Hours | Scheduled highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Saturday, October 10 | 10 a.m.–8 p.m. | Mystery Cat reveal at 3 p.m.; ceremony for the National, Breed and World Winners ’25 at 4 p.m. |
| Sunday, October 11 | 10 a.m.–6 p.m. | Mystery Cat reveal at 3 p.m. |
The venue is Family Mall, Velimira Škorpika 11b, Zagreb, Croatia. The published preview gives no ticket price, ticket link, registration rules or accessibility information. Check with the organizers or the venue before you go, especially if you are bringing a group or need step-free access.
Who is showing
Croatia Week reports more than 100 cats from 25 breeds. They come from Croatia and neighboring countries, and from Belgium, Germany, Poland, Spain and Indonesia. These are the preview’s own figures, not audited attendance results. Maine Coon, British Shorthair and Bengal are named as examples. Some of the rarer breeds are described as recently officially recognized, which makes the show a chance to see types you rarely meet in everyday life.
The Mystery Cat
At 3 p.m. on both days, organizers hand out clues about one rare breed and keep its name secret until the reveal. The preview does not say what form the clues take or which breeds are involved. Treat it as a guessing game, and note that the reveal falls an hour before Saturday’s 4 p.m. winners’ ceremony. Anyone planning to see both on Saturday can do so in one visit.

Cat Detective for children
Cat Detective is an interactive activity for children aged 5 to 15. Children solve challenges by watching the cats and talking to breeders and exhibitors. The clues involve breed traits, coat and eye colors, ears, tails, personality and behavior. Children who finish receive an official diploma and can vote for their favorite cat. It is a sensible way to turn a crowded hall into something children can follow, and it uses the same observation skills that help with the Mystery Cat.

Adoption and nutrition advice
- Adoption: representatives of Kitten Safe House will talk about responsible adoption.
- Nutrition: experts from Purina Pro Plan, MONGE, Royal Canin, Proofa and Zoocity will answer questions about feeding cats. The preview does not describe any formal partnership. Brand experts naturally speak for their own products, so ask for the reasoning behind any recommendation, and ask your vet if your cat has a health condition.
Making the most of a visit
- Arrive before 3 p.m. if you want to hear the clues, not just the reveal.
- Families with younger children may prefer Sunday’s shorter day, though Saturday adds the winners’ ceremony.
- Talk to exhibitors. The children’s activity is built around those conversations, and they are also the best source on a breed’s temperament and care needs.
