Have you ever seen a cat with orange eyes? Clementine, a black cat featured by Cats.com, stands out for her vivid orange gaze—and for a collection of quirky habits her owner says make her memorable.
What makes Clementine stand out?
Cats.com describes Clementine as a black cat with vibrant orange eyes. Her owner says her eyes have always been striking, giving her dark coat a dramatic contrast. The profile compares her gaze to the Eye of Sauron and lists the nicknames “Halloween Void,” “Pumpkin Void,” and “Pumpkin Spice.”
Cats.com calls orange or amber the rarest cat eye color, but the profile does not cite a study or statistic to establish that ranking. Treat it as the article’s description, not a quantified finding.
Clementine’s unusual habits
Her owner-reported quirks are part of the appeal. According to Cats.com, Clementine likes licking people’s elbows, chasing random objects, and making a chirpy, birdlike meow. These are anecdotes about this cat, not claims about cats generally.

Why the knife-block joke needs context
The profile jokes about Clementine “collecting her weapons” because she hides behind a knife block when unfamiliar people arrive. It does not say she handles knives. Her owner describes her as calm and sweet and reports that she does not bite or scratch, so the joke is about her hiding spot—not a warning that she is aggressive.
