Lumi, a mini Dachshund, has a simple response to the prospect of a 6 a.m. walk: in a video credited to @lumitheminidoxie, he peeks out from under a blanket, stretches, yawns, accepts some affection, and settles back onto the bed. The sleepy clip’s on-screen text contrasts the expected walk time with a wake-up at “12 pm.”
What Lumi does in the video
DogTime’s October 5, 2026 account of the Instagram clip shows Lumi tucked into a cozy blanket. He stretches and yawns while his person scratches and cuddles him, then lies back down. The story presents the scene as a funny refusal to embrace an early start; it does not establish Lumi’s actual daily routine or explain why he is sleepy.
The video text, as described by DogTime, sets up the expectation, “You will have to walk the dog at 6AM,” and contrasts it with Lumi waking at “12 pm.” Those times are part of the clip’s joke, not a verified walk schedule.
The caption and reported likes
The owner’s caption, reproduced by DogTime, reads: “One thing is clear: He’s not a morning person.” DogTime did not name the account owner. The outlet reported that the post had over 1K likes “as of this writing” on October 5, 2026; that is a dated snapshot, not a current count.
