He isn’t doing the homework; he just appears unwilling to miss out.
What Bentley does in the clip
Someone writes in a notebook at a table while Bentley tracks the pen’s movement. He noses closer and gently nibbles at it, paying particular attention to the clicker at the back. The pen and notebook are part of the scene, not evidence that Bentley is actually writing or completing homework.
Why the video calls it “helping”
The on-video text reads, “this is what I mean when I say shelties have to be involved in everything.” The caption, as reported by AOL, jokes that Bentley needs to “help” with literally everything. Together, those lines frame his attention as an eager attempt to take part in whatever his person is doing.
What is known about Bentley and the post
AOL published its item on October 6, 2026, noting that it first appeared on DogTime and crediting the video to Instagram account @bentleythesheltiee. The article identifies the dog as Bentley, a Shetland Sheepdog. It reported more than 1,000 likes at publication; that figure is the article’s report from that date, not a verified current count.
