The Furrytail Automatic Litter Box Pro is a $459.99 self-cleaning litter box with automatic and manual cleaning modes and app-based tracking, according to the manufacturer. Those features may appeal to owners seeking less hands-on scooping, but the product has an unresolved cat-weight discrepancy, and its safety and performance claims have not been independently tested here. Check the current instructions and terms before buying or using it.
What the Furrytail Pro offers
Furrytail describes the Automatic Litter Box Pro as a self-cleaning system for multi-cat homes. Its official product page advertises a cycle that cleans automatically after use, as well as a manual mode for on-demand cleaning. The page puts it plainly: “Select Manual Setting for skittish cats for on-demand cleaning.” This is the manufacturer’s description, not an independently tested recommendation.
The company also says its app tracks bathroom habits and weight-related information. These are advertised capabilities; the available evidence does not establish how accurately or reliably the system performs in everyday use.
How Furrytail describes its sensors
Furrytail says proximity and weight sensors can pause cleaning in certain circumstances, and describes an obstruction-detection sensor. Those features are intended to respond to a cat’s presence or an obstruction, but sensor claims do not guarantee that a device is risk-free. Owners should follow the current manual, supervise use as appropriate, and stop using the unit if it behaves unexpectedly.

Check the cat-size guidance before use
The manufacturer’s page gives conflicting weight guidance: an image description says cats weighing 3–22 pounds, while another section says the product is suitable for cats under 18 pounds. Its copy also says cats should be at least four months old. The page does not resolve the mismatch, so do not assume either weight range overrides the other. Check the current product documentation and contact Furrytail if your cat’s fit is uncertain; do not use the box outside the verified instructions.
App compatibility and user feedback
Apple’s App Store listing describes the FurryTail app as companion software for pet health management and lists iPhone compatibility. At retrieval in 2026, the listing showed 3.2 out of 5 from 32 ratings. Some user reviews report a six-cat data limit and faults, but these are individual, time-sensitive reports—not a reliability study or confirmation that every user will encounter those issues. Who should consider it?
The Pro may suit an owner interested in automatic cleaning, an on-demand manual option, and app-based tracking—provided the cat falls within the confirmed fit guidance and the owner is comfortable with the price and ongoing maintenance. It is harder to recommend on the available evidence to someone who needs independently verified sensor performance, proven app reliability, or certainty about a cat’s size eligibility. There is no independently sourced competitor ranking here, so weigh the product against alternatives using the same questions: fit and entry, waste handling, maintenance, app limits, replacement costs, warranty, and evidence behind safety claims.
