Cats.com published a favourable review after a week of testing products across the range in June 2025; its observations are useful context, not a test of this specific Chicken recipe by Animalso.
What is in Fuzzball Chicken wet food?
Fuzzball lists its Chicken recipe in a multipack of seven 70 g cans. The manufacturer’s composition is 75% chicken, 20.82% chicken broth, 1.9% soybean oil, 1.06% minerals and 1% tapioca. These are the product page’s stated proportions, not independently verified measurements. Fuzzball Chicken product page
The same page publishes the following analytical constituents:
- Crude protein: 21.65%
- Crude fat: 3.11%
- Crude fibre: 0.01%
- Crude ash: 0.76%
- Moisture: 76.02%
Those figures are the manufacturer’s listed analysis, not results from an independent laboratory test. The relatively high listed moisture is a feature of the food as sold; the published figures should not be read as a direct comparison with dry food unless moisture and nutrient basis are accounted for.

Nutritional additives listed by Fuzzball
Fuzzball’s Chicken page lists these additives per kilogram: taurine 714 mg, alpha-tocopherol acetate 1,429 mg, vitamin A acetate 14 mg, thiamine mononitrate 2 mg, riboflavin supplement 1 mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride 1 mg, folic acid 1 mg, vitamin B12 supplement 1 mg and biotin 1 mg. How to interpret Fuzzball’s nutrition claims
Fuzzball describes the food as “75% real meat,” “nutritionally complete” and “vet formulated,” and says it contains no grains, sugars, salts or fillers. These are the company’s claims. The product page’s composition specifies tapioca and soybean oil, so the brand’s “no fillers” wording should not be taken to mean that the recipe contains no non-meat ingredients. The product and collection pages reviewed do not name the formulator or provide an independent adequacy assessment. Fuzzball Chicken product page Fuzzball product collection

- Complete and balanced

- Rich in DHA
The reviewer says two adult cats accepted the sampled wet foods, dry food and salmon treats during the test week. Tuna drew the most interest; the reviewer also describes visible meat chunks and no particularly strong smell. These are observations from that reviewer’s cats and samples, not evidence that every cat will enjoy the Chicken recipe.
Cats.com identified price and subscription-only access to wet food as drawbacks. Its review also discusses dry food and freeze-dried salmon treats, including a Turkey & Chicken dry recipe listed as 36% dried chicken and 30% freshly prepared turkey, and treats described as 100% freeze-dried salmon. Those are other products in the range, not ingredients or alternatives within the Chicken wet recipe. Product formulas can change, so check the current listing before relying on range details. Who might consider Fuzzball Chicken?
- A possible fit: owners looking for a chicken-led wet recipe with a short listed composition and who are comfortable buying through a subscription route, subject to current availability.
- Check first: owners who need independent confirmation of nutritional completeness, a named veterinary formulator, or clear one-off purchase access. The reviewed pages do not establish those points.
- For picky cats: Cats.com’s reviewer found the sampled range acceptable to two cats, but that small, subjective experience cannot predict an individual cat’s response.
