Yes—Myrtle Beach Safari advertises reservation-only animal encounters ranging from a few minutes at its lodge to a guided tour lasting several hours. The right choice depends on your budget, schedule, access needs and whether you are comfortable with the fact that the venue does not guarantee a particular animal. Personal phones and cameras are not allowed during activities; the venue says staff photography is included. Here is what the advertised experiences involve and what to check before booking.
What experiences does Myrtle Beach Safari offer?
The venue’s official pages describe a multi-hour guided tour, shorter lodge encounters, an add-on and private experiences. The durations and prices below are the venue’s listings checked in 2026, not independently verified checkout totals; offerings and prices can change. Confirm your date’s availability, final per-person total, included food and photos, and cancellation or rescheduling terms directly before you pay.
| Experience | Listed duration and price | What distinguishes it |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Encounters Tour | About 3–4 hours; $389+ per guest | Guided visit offered in day, night and seasonal sunset formats. |
| Photo Encounter | 3–5 minutes; $150 per guest | Brief lodge session with three animal ambassadors selected by the team; it is not a preserve tour. |
| Capybara Café | 30 minutes; $150 per guest | Stationary lodge session with capybaras; it is not a preserve tour. |
| Feed a Tiger add-on | Brief; $100 per guest | An add-on to another experience, not a standalone tour. |
| Private experiences | Varies; listed starting prices | Higher-cost, limited-date options; the activity and terms vary. |
These are operator listings, not a guarantee of what will be available on a particular date. See the official pricing page and tour descriptions for current details.
How the tour formats differ
The day-tour description advertises examples such as Bubbles the elephant, exotic cats, wolves, tigers and primates. The night format describes interactions centered at one location and lists dinner and dessert. The sunset format is presented as a seasonal, earlier version of the night experience. These are examples and descriptions in the venue’s advertising, not a promised itinerary or independent assessment.
When a private experience may fit
The venue lists private encounters separately, with prices and terms that vary by experience. If a particular animal or activity matters to your plans, ask the venue what it can confirm for your date before purchasing; its FAQ says a specific animal cannot be guaranteed.
Can you touch or feed the animals?
The venue markets interactive encounters, but what interaction is possible depends on the activity and animal availability. Some experiences involve feeding under staff direction. Myrtle Beach Safari’s FAQ says any food used for feeding is provided by its team; do not bring food or treats for animals or feed them independently. Its FAQ also says no specific animal is guaranteed for a visit. Read the official FAQ alongside the description of the experience you are considering.

Can you take pictures?
No personal recording devices are allowed during the activities. Myrtle Beach Safari’s FAQ states: “No personal cell phones, cameras, and video recording devices (including Meta glasses or any wearable recording devices) are allowed during the experience.” The venue says photos are included on the listed experiences and are taken by staff; confirm what is included with your booking. Staff photography does not mean visitors may record during an interaction.
What should you know before you book?
- Reserve ahead: The venue says visits and encounters are reservation-only and walk-ins are not accepted.
- Check the actual date and terms: Availability, activities and listed prices can change. Confirm the final total, what is included, and the applicable cancellation and rescheduling conditions at checkout.
- Consider the access requirements: The Wild Encounters Tour is not wheelchair or walker accessible because it involves stairs and natural terrain. The FAQ says the Photo Encounter may be wheelchair accessible with arrangements. Contact the venue about the specific activity and your needs before booking.
- Account for weather: The operator says experiences run rain or shine.
What are the arrival, clothing and belongings rules?
- Arrive 15 minutes early. The FAQ says late guests will not be admitted after an activity starts and may have to pay a rescheduling fee; it says lateness does not qualify for a refund.
- Wear comfortable, weather-ready clothes and closed-toe shoes. The venue recommends avoiding solid black clothing for photos. Closed-toe walking shoes are a practical option for the visit, not a special footwear requirement.
- Leave personal items in an allowed place. Personal belongings are not permitted during activities. The venue says items may be left in a vehicle or behind the front desk; lockers are unavailable.
- Follow food restrictions. Outside food and drinks are generally not permitted on the preserve, with a narrow exception described for dietary needs. Outside food and treats for animals are prohibited.
- Sign the waiver. The venue says every guest must sign a liability waiver before participating and that it sends a link 24 hours before arrival.
Check the FAQ for the venue’s current arrival and participation rules.

The U.S. Department of Justice reported that Bhagavan Antle pleaded guilty on November 6, 2023, to conspiracy to violate the Lacey Act and conspiracy to launder money. DOJ identifies Antle as the owner and operator of T.I.G.E.R.S., also known as Myrtle Beach Safari. This describes the federal plea reported by DOJ; it does not establish the outcome of every other case or the facility’s present licensing or compliance status. See the DOJ announcement.

USDA APHIS provides an Animal Care public search tool for Animal Welfare Act compliance records. APHIS explains that inspection reports document inspectors’ observations and professional assessments, and describes routine unannounced inspections for licensed or registered entities in its inspection information. Those general resources do not establish Myrtle Beach Safari’s current license status or the result of a facility-specific inspection. To assess current records, search for the exact facility in the USDA tool and read its reports rather than inferring a finding or status.
