The available account does not identify the people or shelter, or say what happened to the dog afterward.
What the report says happened
iHeartDogs reported that a man surrendered his pit bull after facing an ultimatum from his landlord. Its search-result excerpt says the shelter posted a photo of the dog on Facebook and that the post went viral. The account available at iHeartDogs does not provide further independently confirmed details.
What is not known
The available account does not name the man, dog, landlord, or shelter, and it does not establish where or when the incident happened. It also does not reproduce the shelter’s original post or verify the landlord’s exact words as a direct quotation. The quoted ultimatum in the headline should therefore be understood as a summary of the reported situation, not confirmed verbatim speech.
What happened to the dog afterward?
The available source does not say whether the dog was adopted, reunited with the man, or remained at the shelter. Without a reliable follow-up, the dog’s eventual outcome cannot be stated.
