Nectar

The spotlight names the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City, but it is dated December 23, 2025. It does not confirm the dogs’ current status. Check the ASPCA’s current listings or contact the Adoption Center before visiting; do not assume a dog featured in an older article is still available.

How to protect a dog’s paws on winter walks

Salt and chemical ice melts can irritate paws. ASPCA recommends considering paw protectant or booties to reduce contact, then washing and drying the paws and stomach after a walk. Check paws for cracks or redness, and keep dogs leashed on snow or ice. See the ASPCA’s Cold Weather Safety Tips.
