Zeus is a reported Maine Coon from Moldova whose owner says he can reach about 130 cm—roughly 4 feet 3 inches—when he stands on his hind legs and stretches toward food. That is an extended reach, not his ordinary standing height. The figures and anecdotes below come from Animalso’s profile published August 17, 2026, which relays owner and media reports rather than independently documented measurements.
How big is Zeus?
Animalso’s August 17, 2026 profile reports that Zeus measures approximately 120 cm from nose to tail and can reach about 130 cm when upright and stretching toward food. The profile says these figures are based on reports relaying his owner Daniela Ermolaeva’s account; it does not provide an independent measurement record.
These are different measurements. The 130-cm figure describes Zeus’s extended reach, not his ordinary shoulder height. The profile does not give an ordinary shoulder-height measurement, so it would be misleading to call him a four-foot-tall cat without explaining his posture.
The profile also reports that Zeus weighed 13 kg (about 28.7 pounds) at age four. It says The Independent reported this weight based on his owner’s account; it is not an independently documented measurement in the available reporting.

Zeus is presented as an exceptional individual, not as evidence that Maine Coons generally reach his reported size. Animalso identifies him as a Maine Coon, but says its available reporting did not include an independent pedigree certificate. The careful description is a reported Maine Coon.
How Daniela came to own Zeus
According to Daniela’s account as relayed by Animalso, she had admired Maine Coons since childhood. She and her partner, Liviu, reportedly searched for a kitten for about three months before Liviu surprised her with Zeus in 2021. Daniela said she felt he was the cat she wanted when she saw his photograph. She had saved the name Zeus for a future large dog, but it suited the kitten, so she kept it.

What does Zeus eat?
Animalso reports that Daniela feeds Zeus about 500 g per day, including raw beef, dry food, and treats. This describes one owner’s reported routine; it is not feeding advice, and the reported weight does not establish that Zeus is healthy. Do not copy the amount or diet on the basis of this profile; discuss an individual cat’s feeding plan with a veterinarian.
