The report does not identify the bird, give the incident’s exact date, name a rehabilitation provider or describe the osprey’s condition. It documents the City Rangers’ support, not the full sequence of care.
What is known about the release?
The headline says the osprey was released months after it was found, but the City’s annual-report account does not specify the release date, how long rehabilitation lasted, the release location or the circumstances. Those details cannot be confirmed from that official account.

- Important: rinse with freshwater after each Use. Occasionally, treat your snip with an anti-rust spray, such as WD40 or boeshield T9. Wipe with cloth and air dry. This will help prevent spotting on stainless steel blades and screws.
A separate City social post describes an osprey entangled in a gum tree and recovering with Birds of Prey rescue. That is a different incident and does not establish who treated or released the Heirisson Island bird.
