Both list hours of 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check with the foundation before making plans; the date and current event details are not confirmed.
When is the event?
The date is unresolved. Labradors + Friends lists Howl-O-Ween Hounds for October 10, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s the Pits lists the event for October 17, 2026, also from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Neither listing settles the discrepancy. Confirm the date, hours, and event name with San Diego Animal Support Foundation before attending.
Where is it?
The listings place the event at Grossmont Center, 5500 Grossmont Center Drive, La Mesa. The shopping center has hosted previous foundation mega adoption events, including events listed by Labs and More and SPOT.

Past events have included dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. A 2025 Santa Paws listing from Tiny Kitten Coven described hundreds of adoptable animals from dozens of rescues. That is historical context, not a confirmed count or lineup for Howl-O-Ween Hounds.
How many pets and rescue groups will attend?
The current number of animals and participating organizations has not been confirmed in the listings cited here. For comparison, Labs and More reported more than 300 adoptable pets at its specific Dog Days of Summer event on June 7, 2025. That figure applies to that past event only; it should not be treated as an estimate for the 2026 gathering.
