The clip showed the pair following her around her home; it did not establish when she acquired them or whether they are still part of her household today.
Who are Teddy and Toby?
Teddy is a dog and Toby is a rabbit. Shakira introduced them together in a caption reproduced by People en Español: “Meet Teddy 🐶 & Toby 🐇! Two little personalities that bring so much joy! ♥️ Así son Teddy & Toby! #EstaEsMiMascota.” The Spanish phrase means, roughly, “This is what Teddy and Toby are like.”

Were Teddy and Toby newly adopted?
The 2021 reports do not confirm an adoption date. Unicable observed that Teddy appeared at different stages of growth in the video and inferred that the animals might not have been newly acquired at the time. That is the outlet’s interpretation of the images, not a confirmed timeline.

Are Teddy and Toby still Shakira’s pets?
The coverage documents their 2021 introduction, but it does not verify their present status. It would be inaccurate to treat these reports alone as confirmation that Teddy and Toby are still in Shakira’s household.
