How Robert brought the bike back into use
According to PerthNow, the bike was set aside and rarely used after Steve died. Robert said he had recently fixed it up and started riding it along the same route each morning.
PerthNow reproduced Robert’s reflection over footage of him riding: “When I get on that bike, and do the same route that he did, it means so much to me that this piece of machinery that he loved and used every day keeps on running,” He also said, “I take every opportunity I can get (to drive it), I reckon Dad would have wanted that.” These are quotations as reported by PerthNow; the original post or a separate transcript was not independently verified.

Other birthday tributes to Steve
PerthNow also reported that Bindi shared a birthday tribute featuring family photographs. The report placed both tributes in the context of Steve’s birthday. Steve died in 2006, aged 44, after a stingray incident off Queensland.
