In a video reported in May 2019, a Chinese blogger known online as “Seaside Girl Little Seven” appears to try to eat a live octopus. The animal attaches to her face as she struggles to pull it away. Contemporary reports describe a small bloody mark on her cheek, but the reviewed coverage does not include independent medical documentation.
What the video reportedly shows
News reports published May 8–10, 2019, identified the blogger by the online name “Seaside Girl Little Seven” and described her attempting to eat a live octopus. The clip appears to show the octopus attaching to her face while she tries to remove it. The Indian Express reported that she says, “look how hard it’s sucking,” and, “I can’t remove it”; those words are attributed to the clip by the newspaper, not to an independently verified transcript.

What was reported about her injury
Contemporary coverage described a small bloody mark or wound on the blogger’s cheek. The sources reviewed do not provide medical records or an independent medical account, so they do not establish the injury’s severity or lasting effects. The Daily Mail’s report also described the facial mark.

Did she eat the octopus later?
Scroll reported that near the end of the livestream the blogger said she would “eat the octopus in the next video.” The available reporting does not establish whether she posted that video or ate the animal. Read Scroll’s account.
