The title describes an abandoned dog allowing a rescuer to cradle his face after people warned that he was dangerous to trust. But the originating video or article has not been identified, so the dog’s identity, the warning’s source and meaning, and what happened next cannot be independently confirmed.
What can be confirmed about the story?
Only the premise in the title is available: an abandoned dog appears to accept a rescuer cradling his face after warnings about trusting him. No originating report or video has been verified, and there is no confirmed name for the dog or rescuer.

Two other abandoned-dog rescue stories surfaced in searches, but neither is established as this story. CBS New York’s 2017 report concerns Gershwin, a 110-pound dog, and a rescue effort involving Hope For Paws (CBS New York). GodTube Animals described a separate video about Buddy, whose rescuer reportedly took two months to secure him (GodTube Animals). Those accounts do not verify the dog in this title, and their details should not be attributed to him.

Does the face-cradling moment prove the dog was safe to trust?
No. A single moment in a photo or video cannot establish a dog’s temperament or predict how he will behave in other situations. Without the original footage and its context, it is not possible to tell what happened before or after the moment, how the dog was responding, or what the warning about trust referred to.
