When will Archangel Cat’s next Russian Blue kittens be available?
On its reservation page, Archangel Cat estimates a breeding around December 2026, births in March 2027, and kittens going home at about 12 weeks old. The cattery says the planned litter is expected to be allocated; families joining the waitlist now should plan for availability from later litters, with kittens expected to go home around December 2027. These are the cattery’s current plans, not guaranteed breeding, birth, or pickup dates. It says waitlisted families may be offered earlier openings if one becomes available.
How much is the reservation deposit, and is it refundable?
The cattery’s reservation form, published in September 2026, lists a $250 deposit for one kitten or $450 for two. It says deposits are nonrefundable, are applied toward the kitten’s total cost, and lock in current kitten pricing until a kitten becomes available. An optional pick-of-the-litter selection costs an additional $925, due when the kitten is selected; the cattery describes it as offering added priority and choice where available.
These are breeder-published terms, not independently verified contract protections. Before paying, read the current reservation and pricing information and request the written contract, including the total price, what happens if a litter or placement does not proceed, and any conditions that may affect your deposit.

How does the reservation and kitten selection process work?
Unless a kitten is already available, submitting a reservation adds a family to the cattery’s waitlist. Actual litter size affects placements and availability. The form asks about coat-color preferences, sex preference, household and animal experience, and the traits a family wants in a kitten. The cattery cautions that requesting a particular sex—especially when seeking two kittens from one litter—can lengthen the wait.
According to its kitten process page, families generally select a kitten about 5–9 weeks after birth. Final payment is due within 72 hours of the kitten announcement, and kittens leave for their new homes at 11–13 weeks old. The reservation page separately estimates go-home at approximately 12 weeks, which falls within that process-page range.

How can you bring a kitten home from Idaho?
Travel arrangements are the family’s responsibility. The cattery says local families can arrange pickup near Island Park, Idaho, though it notes that location plans may change after spring 2027. It also describes meeting families at Idaho Falls airport and using an in-cabin pet courier or other transport. The process page asks families to arrange travel 4–6 weeks ahead.
If flying or driving with the kitten, plan how you will safely contain and manage the cat during the trip; a suitable travel carrier is a practical item to arrange in advance. The cattery lists third-party transport services, but their prices, availability, service quality, and any commercial relationship with the breeder are not independently established here. Verify details directly with each provider before booking.

What should prospective families verify?
Archangel Cat says it is registered with TICA, CFA, ACFA, and CFF and that its kittens have verifiable pedigrees. Those are the cattery’s own claims; the available material does not independently confirm registry status, pedigree records, health testing, or contract protections. Ask for documentation and review it yourself before committing.
When comparing breeders, focus on written refund and contract terms, independently checkable registrations and pedigrees, documented health testing, how kittens are raised and matched with families, realistic wait estimates, the full cost, and travel arrangements. The available information does not establish that this cattery is better than other breeders.
