2. Read every protein in the ingredient name
“Salmon” on the front does not mean salmon is the only animal protein. Platefulls names tuna, chicken, and shrimp alongside salmon; the broth names wild salmon and whitefish; and the puree is described as salmon with pumpkin. Apply the selected product’s current instructions and your veterinarian’s advice, especially if your cat has a medical condition or has stopped eating.

- Days 3–4: Move to about half new food and half current food if the cat is eating normally.
- Days 5–6: Offer about 75% new food and 25% current food.
