Blink is a wet-food-led cat food brand with a catalogue of jelly, gravy and pâté recipes, a few kitten recipes and one dry option, sold in pounds sterling with a low-cost starter box and a subscription. On the evidence available, it is a reasonable, convenient option to trial if you want delivered pouches and a simple way to test whether your cat accepts the food. It is not yet a food with independent proof behind it. Its completeness and nutrition claims come from the brand itself, and the customer reviews are opinions rather than testing. Whether Blink is “good” for your cat depends on that cat’s age, appetite and health, and on the label of the exact recipe you buy.
What Blink sells
Blink’s current catalogue, checked on 7 October 2026, lists wet recipes in three textures: jelly, gravy and pâté. Recipes combine chicken, turkey, duck, beef, tuna and salmon in various pairings. The range also includes kitten-labelled recipes and a dry food. Products and names can change, so treat the list below as a snapshot.
| Recipe (as listed) | Format | Protein combination |
|---|---|---|
| Chicken Fillets in Jelly | Wet, jelly | Chicken |
| Chicken & Duck Fillets in Gravy | Wet, gravy | Chicken and duck |
| Chicken & Beef Chicken Fillets & Minced Beef in Jelly | Wet, jelly | Chicken and beef |
| Chicken Fillets in Pâté | Wet, pâté | Chicken |
| Chicken dry food | Dry | Chicken |
The table shows the three main comparison axes. The first is format: wet or dry. The second is texture within wet food, since the same chicken recipe appears in both jelly and pâté. The third is protein: single-protein recipes against mixed ones. Kitten labelling is a separate fourth axis. Do not assume every flavour is offered in every texture or life stage. Check the product page for the exact combination you want.
Wet recipes: jelly, gravy and pâté
Jelly and gravy recipes are the most visible part of the range. Blink’s own product names use “Fillets” for several recipes, and its website names chicken breast fillets, turkey fillets and minced beef as example ingredients. The texture you choose matters for cats that are particular about mouthfeel, so a pâté that suits one cat may be refused by another. Buying one recipe in a single texture is a fair test, but it is not a test of the whole range.

Dry food and kitten recipes
The dry option is listed as chicken. The kitten recipes sit alongside the adult range; the catalogue confirms kitten labelling but this review does not verify each kitten recipe’s nutritional profile. Feeding guidance for kittens is covered under the transition section below.
Is Blink a complete cat food?
Blink’s FAQ answers yes to the question “Is Blink a complete cat food?” and says the company adds a blend of 21 vitamins and minerals to its recipes. That tells you what Blink claims. It does not mean an independent body has assessed the formulation, and it does not confirm that every listed product suits every cat. Read the label of the exact recipe and pack size you buy, and speak to a vet before making any single recipe your cat’s only diet, particularly if the cat has a medical condition or is a kitten.

The brand’s own wording
Blink’s marketing uses phrases such as “100% natural ingredients,” “zero grains” and “human grade meat and fish.” These are the company’s descriptions of its products. They are not independent certifications, and they should be weighed as marketing language rather than as proof of quality or suitability.

- Tailored meal plan: Blink describes a plan built from details such as your cat’s age, activity level, weight and food preferences.
On cost, the trial is the cheapest way to test acceptance. Customer reviews include complaints that the price is high, so compare the per-pouch figure with what you currently spend on a comparable wet food before committing to a subscription.
Switching your cat to Blink
Blink advises introducing the food gradually rather than changing diet overnight. The company’s guidance is as follows:
Rank #4
- Pâté - A deliciously smooth, and decadent texture.
- Real Meat or Fish is #1 Ingredient - Since the dawn of time, cats have loved their protein—so that’s why this dish is packed with delicious, succulent chunks of the good stuff.
- Hydration Boost - Your cat gets to enjoy flavorful, nourishing broth to ensure they’re getting enough H20 (without even knowing it!) every day.
- Grain-Free - Absolutely no corn, wheat, rice, soy, or oats in sight. We don’t pack your pet’s food with grains just to help us save a buck or two.
- Filler-Free - Unlike other brands, we don’t use ingredients like rice or corn to bulk out your pet’s food because we know there’s little nutritional value and it can contribute to obesity and lethargy.
- Begin by mixing a small portion of Blink into your cat’s current food.
- Increase the Blink share over several days, rather than all at once.
- Watch appetite, stool quality and how readily the cat eats the mixture. If the cat refuses the food, slow the transition rather than forcing it.
- Keep in mind that Blink’s feeding guidance takes account of weight, age, neuter status and whether your cat eats wet food, dry food or both, so the same starting point will not suit every cat.
Kitten recipes and the move to adult food
For kitten recipes, Blink gives 9 to 12 months as its typical recommendation for when to feed Blink Kitten, and it says kittens develop at different rates. Its FAQ recommends discussing the move from kitten to adult food with a vet. Treat the 9 to 12 month figure as the company’s general guideline, not an individual feeding plan.

Blink’s Trustpilot page showed a score of 4.6 out of 5 and 7,656 reviews on 7 October 2026. Trustpilot pages are dynamic, so those figures are a snapshot from that date rather than a fixed rating. The company says it invites customers to review, whether positive or negative.

The visible reviews fall into a few recurring themes:
- Praise for how readily cats accepted the food and for delivery.
- Reports that particular cats disliked the samples.
- Concerns about texture.
- Comments that the price is high.
One reviewer, Naznin Tariq, wrote on 18 September 2026: “My cat didn’t like the samples I ordered. That’s fine as it was just a trial.” That is one customer’s experience, not a representative finding. Reviews can show what some owners experienced, but they cannot show typical palatability, nutritional effects or manufacturing consistency.
What the evidence does and does not establish
The sources reviewed for this article support a limited set of conclusions. The catalogue, the trial and subscription terms, the feeding advice and the completeness statement all come from Blink. The review scores come from customers. Independent comparative feeding trials and clinical outcome evidence for Blink were not found, so no claim is made here that Blink improves digestion, coat condition, general health or acceptance. Any such benefit would need to be observed in your own cat.
Who Blink suits, and what to check first
- You want delivered wet food and are comfortable testing a small trial before a subscription.
- You have confirmed the exact recipe, texture and life-stage label you want, and checked it against your cat’s needs.
- You have a plan to transition gradually and to watch your cat’s response over several days.
- You have read the subscription terms, including the decision window and how to pause or cancel.
- For a kitten, or a cat with a health condition, you have a vet’s guidance before making Blink the main diet.
About the company
According to Blink’s company history, its founder, Ben, created the brand in 2018 after questioning the ingredients in conventional cat foods. This is the company’s own account and has not been independently verified.
