Salt and fat are additional concerns
Excess salt can cause toxicosis, with possible signs such as weakness, incoordination, muscle tremors, gastrointestinal illness, or seizure-like activity. Risk is affected by access to fresh water; Merck says salt toxicosis is unlikely when fresh drinking water is available. What to do if your cat ate bologna
- Check the label. Note whether it lists onion, garlic, chives, leek, or their powders, and estimate how much your cat ate and when.
