What information to have ready
- Your cat’s weight or approximate size.
- The exact Goldfish flavor and package, including its ingredient list.
- Your best estimate of how many crackers were eaten.
- When the crackers were eaten, or when you noticed they were missing.

Check the exact flavor and ingredient label
Recipes can vary by flavor and product version, so do not assume another Goldfish variety has the same ingredients—or that it is safe for cats. Check the package your cat accessed and look for onion, garlic, chive, or leek, including powdered or dried forms. If any is listed, share the label with your veterinarian.

It also lists wheat and milk as allergens. The same page gives a serving size of 30 g, with 240 mg sodium, 140 calories, and 53 pieces; those are product-label figures for a human serving, not a cat-safe allowance. Can cats have Goldfish crackers as an occasional treat?
No. The veterinarian answering the Goldfish-specific question advises against offering the crackers as treats, and their ingredients do not make them an appropriate cat snack. Choose a treat intended for cats instead, and avoid using a different Goldfish flavor as a substitute without checking its label and getting veterinary guidance.
