The maker says the zipper opens along the bottom and up one side to help with access; the paw ports are intended to allow front-paw access for trimming. Even with those openings, Catster notes that some cats may be hard to get into the bag. The sources do not establish that one introduction method works for every cat, so follow the current product instructions and avoid forcing a cat that is distressed.

Check the collar fit
The manufacturer advises adjusting the collar so one finger fits underneath it. Catster likewise advises a snug fit and says to watch for paws reaching through the collar opening. Follow the current product instructions and monitor the opening while using the bag; the feedback summarized by Catster indicates that fit can be a concern.
Is the bag suitable for car travel?
Cat-in-the-Bag says the carrier is suitable for car travel and includes a seat-belt pass-through. The sources reviewed do not establish crash testing, crash certification or performance in a collision. How do you clean it, and are liners available?
Catster lists machine washing as a benefit, and the manufacturer says the carrier is washable. Its FAQ advises mild detergent and says not to bleach; follow the current care instructions for the product. The manufacturer also sells Acci-Don’ts disposable liners for the carrier.
