The start-up schedule

How to give the powder
- Measure the amount for the current phase with a 1/2 teaspoon measure, leveling it off. For the starting phase, use half a level 1/2 teaspoon, which is 1/4 teaspoon.
- Mix the powder into the cat’s meal. The manufacturer’s FAQ page says the powder may be given with food.
- Choose one of the manufacturer’s suggested methods: sprinkle it over dry food, mix it into wet food, or stir it into a little water to make a gravy.
- Serve it at the same time each day and keep the routine consistent, since the manufacturer emphasizes daily use.
Do not use the dog-and-cat table
Some general product listings for this brand show a different table entry, “Dogs under 15 lbs & Cats,” at 1/8 teaspoon. That entry is part of a broader dog-and-general listing and should not be applied to the feline powder. For a cat, follow the feline product page and directions for use, and check the label on the package you bought, since the label is what governs the dose you actually give.
How Long Before You See Results
The manufacturer advises daily, consistent use and says to allow a minimum of 3 to 5 weeks before judging whether the product is working. Its FAQ adds that some pets may take up to 2 to 3 months to reach optimal results. These are product-use expectations from the manufacturer, not study findings, and they are not a guarantee that the product will help a particular cat.

If your cat shows no change after a reasonable trial, or if the problem that prompted the purchase is worsening, schedule a visit with your veterinarian rather than simply extending the trial.

The manufacturer’s product page quotes Dr. Patrick Mahaney, a veterinarian, in praise of Glandex products. The quote is about Glandex chews, not the feline powder, so it should not be read as clinical evidence for the powder:
