The cozy scene is the basis for the playful idea that Walter has decided he is one of the kids—but the clip shows what he does, not what he thinks.
What happens in the video?
DogTime’s October 5, 2026 report describes Walter lying beside a young boy on a bed. In the first part of the clip, Walter’s head and part of his body are above the blanket; later, he is stretched out on the bed beside the child. The blanket is described as bright green and Minecraft-themed, but no maker or specific product is identified.
Who is Walter?
DogTime identifies the dog as Walter, a Golden Retriever, and says his Instagram profile describes him as living in Chicago. The account is presented as user-generated-content-focused and also features dog-friendly activities and trips around the city.
Why viewers find the moment sweet
The image of a dog sharing a child’s blanket and bed is an easy setup for affectionate jokes. DogTime relays anonymous viewer reactions including “This is the goal” and “so adorable.” Another commenter joked, “What do you mean he thinks?? He is. He is more baby than the other two.” These are unattributed reactions, not statements from named viewers.

What the clip does—and doesn’t—show
The “one of the kids” framing is playful interpretation. The reported scene shows Walter beside the boy under the blanket and later stretched out on the bed; it does not establish what Walter believes or intends. The report also does not identify the child or family beyond describing the boy in the video.
The video is attributed to @itswallythegolden in DogTime’s report. The Instagram post itself has not been independently verified here, so details about the clip are presented as reported rather than as firsthand observation.
