What police action was reported
On 29 July 2018, PETA India said it had worked with Nuh’s Superintendent of Police and the Station House Officer of Nagina Police Station after complaints, and that an FIR had been registered against eight men. PETA also said a post-mortem had been conducted and samples sent to a state forensic laboratory; the available reports do not state the forensic findings. PETA India’s 29 July statement reported that three accused had been identified and were at large at that time.

Arrest update reported in August
Hindustan Times reported on 3 August 2018 that police had arrested two of the eight accused. That update describes the status at the time; it does not establish what happened later in the case.
