A Labrador puppy named Josie has found her happy place, and it is a public fountain. According to DogTime, which reported the story on October 6, 2026, Josie was filmed running from one side of the fountain to the other and making small splashes as she went.
What happens in the video
DogTime, in a report by Nikita Nath, says the clip was posted to Instagram on October 5, 2026, by the human parent behind the account @josie.thebutterlab. It describes Josie happily dashing around the fountain and splashing a little as she goes.
The post is a simple, joyful scene. There is no stunt and no drama, just a puppy who seems delighted by moving water.
The caption and overlay
As reproduced by DogTime, the caption reads: “My kind of happy place.” The text overlay on the video reads: “The fountain was clearly built for me.” Both are written from Josie’s point of view, which is a large part of the clip’s charm.

What the report does not say
DogTime’s account is the only coverage available, and it leaves several things open. It does not name the fountain’s city or venue. It does not give Josie’s age or a verified view count. It does not say whether the location allows dogs in the water. It also does not say whether the fountain is a regular favorite or whether Josie drank from it. Treat the “favorite spot” framing as the headline’s playful gloss, not a documented habit.
If your dog loves fountains too
Josie’s clip is lighthearted, but the American Kennel Club offers general advice on shared water that is worth knowing. It says public or communal bowls and fountains can carry contamination risks. This guidance does not evaluate Josie’s fountain, and nothing suggests she was harmed.

Practical steps
- Bring a separate water source. The AKC suggests a dog water bottle or a collapsible bowl, filled with fresh water.
- If your dog does use a communal bowl, check it first for visible contaminants.
- Check local rules before letting a dog into a public fountain, since many places restrict it.
The bottle and the collapsible bowl are simply two ways to carry clean water. The AKC does not rank one above the other, and neither appears in Josie’s video.
