Apollo arrived malnourished and in desperate need of care. Best Friends Animal Society reports that a loving foster home gave him a chance to heal, feel safe, and discover what it means to be loved. When he was feeling better, he met his new family.
Apollo’s path from care to a new family
Best Friends’ account is a brief one: Apollo arrived malnourished, received care in a foster home, and later met his new family. The organization credits that home with giving him the opportunity to recover and feel safe. The feature does not describe his diagnosis, treatment, earlier circumstances, or the length of his stay.

Best Friends Animal Society describes fostering as “a short-term commitment with a long-term impact.” The organization encourages people to foster, adopt, and advocate for homeless pets. Its example that even a few days of fostering can save lives is general encouragement; it does not say how long Apollo was fostered.
