Before relying on a recipe as a cat’s complete diet, read its current package statement and confirm that it is formulated for your cat’s life stage. Cats.com updated its review on June 4, 2026, and gave SHINE an overall 7.8/10 under its own six-category rubric. It reports that its reviewer ordered and fed multiple recipes to cats, rated ingredient quality highly, and scored price poorly and variety in the middle of its rubric. Cats.com also noted that the label it reviewed did not provide calorie content, which can make portion planning and calorie tracking harder.
