A Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Holly gets so animated in the car near her favorite park that her owner jokingly calls her “a little bit excited.” In a clip shared by @hollythebluestaffy, Holly moves around and makes squeaky sounds as the car approaches the destination, capturing a familiar pre-walk scene for many dog owners.
What happens in Holly’s park video?
DogTime reported on November 25, 2025, that the clip had been shared the previous day by the Instagram account @hollythebluestaffy. The outlet identifies Holly as a Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Its report describes Holly moving around in the car and making squeaky vocalizations after recognizing that she has arrived at her favorite park.

The on-screen text, reproduced in DogTime’s report, reads: “The moment my staffy realises we’ve arrived at her favorite park.” The owner’s caption adds: “She’s subtle about it… But I think she might be a little bit excited.”

Why does the reaction feel so familiar?
Dogs can respond strongly to cues associated with an enjoyable routine. A familiar route or destination may become part of the anticipation of an outing, so a dog’s visible reaction can begin before the walk itself. Holly’s owner frames her behavior as excitement, and the clip’s appeal lies in that recognizable moment: the destination seems close, and the dog can hardly contain herself.
That is a playful reading of one dog’s video, not evidence that all Staffordshire Bull Terriers react this way or that every dog feels the same about a park. The report gives no case-specific behavioral assessment of Holly.

Jennifer Summerfield, DVM, describes habituation as a reduction in response that can occur with repeated exposure to a stimulus. In her general explainer, she notes that “The scientific term for this is habituation.” She also explains that some animals may instead become sensitized and react more intensely with repeated exposure: “This means that they become more frightened and have a more intense reaction with repeated exposures, rather than being calmer and less bothered over time.”
